I want to adjust the volume of a midi track just like an audio track, like cubase, logic, protools does...i would like a regular fader instead of those leds...am I missing something?honsey wrote:i dont know what you want to do with that, but maybe the midiplugin velocity is what you're searching for?
...but not for an external instrumentlaird wrote:??? The volume sliders on a MIDI track are the same as on an audio track
...right, but without volume my bcf2000 fader stays down, the velocity plugin seems to be a solution, but why can't they make a SIMPLE "midi volume" like for internal midi instruments???If you want to control an external instrument, you can also use MIDI CC7
I don't Because you must route the audio back in the soundcard, and I will not have enough physical audio input on my digi002R to map each midi channel back in a separate audio in.longjohns wrote:it sounds like you don't use the External Instrument plug?
I think it is the ONLY way to do what I want to do, ...for the momentrbmonosylabik wrote:velocity plug in?

I've never used MIDi plugins other than Live's, so I can make no garuntee that it'll work, but it looks like 12 Sliders hooked up to 12 selectable MIDI CC's.

Try the arpeggiator.... perhaps with a scale limiter after it. Works great on drums, you can trigger fills quite easily. Add a random plug before the scale if you want your fills to vary a little bit (and scale will help you limit the results to something like "kick, snare, hat" or just "kick hat" or something.robocop wrote: I just wish there was more MIDI plugs (like a midi beat repeat) in Live.
Yes, the arpeggiator is very nice on drums, definetly the way to golaird wrote:Try the arpeggiator... perhaps with a scale limiter after it. Works great on drums, you can trigger fills quite easily.
