export clip as audio?

I really would like to have the possibility to export a clip as audio - like you could do it with midi (export midi clip). I know you could do a work around with freeze and then search the freezed wav file, but that's annoying if you want to export 10+ clips and have to rename every file.

Or do I miss something?

In Live 7 you can render multiple tracks as individual audio files 9one per track). Not a perfect solution, but it might speed things up for you?

Did you miss Render Audio? (as its called in Live 6, in Live 7 its export i believe)

Also, Resampling mode or Consolidate might be useful to you, seems a bit unlear exactly what you want.

Thanks for your answers. Sorry that I was a bit blurry.

I often program a clips (be it midi or audio) with various effects and then process or use them in another program. For example: I like to program beats in Live and then use this loop in a existing Cubase arrangement. Or I want to process a loop with tools like Reaktor and therefore I need to import the Live clip as audio.

So it would be nice if you could export a single clip (be it midi or audio) with all effects as a audio file, like you could export a midi clip as a midi file.

Freeze, flatten and then use the edit button to open it in an external audio editor and save it elsewhere.

you have many options!

Also: File>render audio.

Just one click + typing in name

(assuming you have all the settings correct)

blank: yes this is the way I do it at the moment, but it's a bit annoying if you export clips as often as I do. :-)

laird: doesn't work or I really missed something, I think you can only render stuff which is in the arrangement view.
