why does this not work anyway?
now there are this cool multiple automation tracks, and they only can be used for vsts... ;(

you can send MIDI CC with clip envelopes..

Yes but not in arrange page which is not good.

I also think the record automation to clips should be sorted with proper drag & drop funtionallity for automation between session & arrange clips.

This is something I'd like to see. Yes, you can automate CCs with clip envelopes, but a lot of the time (for me) it's more convenient to do it directly on the arrangement. This makes even more sense now there are multiple automation lanes.

The same goes for Reason when Rewired too. Perhaps this capability could be tied in with the External Instrument device?
