changing loops while retaining play position

Post by Vectrex » Fri May 28, 2004 4:48 pm

howdy, in the session section can you change a loop in a track and have it continue from the position the last loop got cut off at? I want to be able to swap back and forth related variations without it triggering from the start each time.
I can only think to put them on seperate tracks and assign the mutes to keys... but that's lame :)

One word: Legato.

Actually, maybe a few more words are needed...

If the loops are equal lengths you can use legato link to achieve what it sounds you're trying to do.

legato and RAM mode

RAM mode will help eliminate clicks from the disk rummaging through your hard drive to find the bits in your audio clips.

Dammit. Still didn't use enough words. The RAM setting is essential.

Another word for the pot: Quantise, to give it the English spelling.
