A simple search on "128" will throw back a bunch of posts on a very commonly requested feature.. its up there with the "record automation to session view" as a big annoyance... Ableton is limited to automating the first 128 parameters of midi control on a VST (or AU).

Which, I think we all agree, is pretty frustrating, given that VSTs have moved on dramatically in the past number of years.

STOP PRESS!!

Ableton have confirmed that theres STILL A CHANCE that this limitation (bug, feature, whatever) will be rectified/added in LIVE 7..

Ableton can add a host of new instruments, and little tweaks but we really need to show them that we need the BASICS covered first.. this is our LAST BIG PUSH. Come on guys.. for those of you that have never heard of this problem - get behind it NOW.. for those of you that have ground your keyboard down posting and replying about this.. just give me one more show of support.

Wow, I used to use a version of that years ago.. looks different now. Have they fixed the 128 param..

the 128 parameter thing is definitely more of a much needed bug fix rather than a feature ...

I already wrote a post in the Feature request forum and an email to Ableton support a couple of months ago. This is a must, even if it delays the release of v7.

*raising hand* just in case I find out in the future that some of my NI plugs might come with lots more than 128 parameters (Kontakt could be a candidate I guess).

Yes, this is more needed than any other feature. Please fix the 128 parameters limitation!
