dragging multitrack loops

Post by qrandle » Tue Apr 06, 2004 8:59 pm

I am working with some multitrack loops and was wondering if there was a way I could click on five or six loops and drag them onto the tracks and have them go onto different tracks. Right now, when you select more than one and drag them, the all go onto the same track. One right after another.

Drag your clips from the browser over the Session View slots. Keep the mouse button down and press Command (Mac) or Control (PC). Watch them magically switch to a horizontal formation instead of vertically!

The same trick also works in the Arrangement View.

Grouping to drag

Thanks for the advice on the multitracks. That works great. Now, this is probably covered in the manual somewhere, but how can I group a set of loops along different tracks so I can drag the edges all at ones to duplicate the loop/make it longer?

Now knowing that ctrl command is certainly a handy trick! :)
