Reason ReWire problem since updating to 6.0.10

I have Reason 3.04.4096 and have used it without problems with Live since 5.03.
Since updating to 6.0.10 I am getting a large amount of stactic breakup with Reason ReWired to Live; however if I open the project in 6.0.7 this doesn't happen.
One project was started in 6.07 and another was started in 6.0.10 and that makes no difference as the static always is present in 6.0.10.

I've been having similiar problems with reason n ableton, but it's more high pitched glitches if it's playing or not playing.

The props recommend that you rerun the Rewire installer after changing an app that uses Rewire. Don't forget to use the new rewire installer, not the on from the Reason CD. That should do it.

Thanks for the replies.
I did download the ReWire installer and was going to see if a fresh install would help but just haven't gotten around to it yet.
If not then I'll conduct ReWire sessions with 6.07

same problem here, rewire installer from props website doesn't help!

edit: actually it's only the sending midi from live to reason part that doesn't work for me. hanging notes, no notes, etc...

Im still having random glitches and pops, have reinstalled rewire but still no luck. Was hoping that i could crack on this weekend with making some new tracks but looks like i wont be using ableton afterall. Lets hope there's a fix for this....a reply from one of the ableton team would be nice with some suggestions on what to do.

I reinstalled ReWire and hasn't fix this. Have no idea why this has suddenly become a problem. It happens no matter if sending MIDI from Live to Reason or using the Reason Sequencer. Last file I dealt with I just used Reason as stand alone, mixed to wav and then imported to Live. Arrrgg

reason 4.0 + live 6.10 rewire = questionable freshness

I just upgraded reason to 4.0 (from 3) and now I am having all kinds of issues with rewire between live 6.10 and reason. There are times when the transport becomes unstable and freezes and also changing the tempo results in unexpected behavior, very similar to the questionable results i have gotten when rewiring ableton as a slave with Pro Tools 7.3

anyone else coming across issues?

Any news on a patch to fix the issues in this thread guys?
At this moment in time ableton is sat doing nothing as most of my work requires the use of reason...... until i find another option.

But this shouldn't be the case, the glitches make playing audio from reason via live impossible as the random glitches are a full on annoyance.

Im having the same issue, random glitchy sounding tones, audio that goes in and out (midi is constant)

I emailed ableton support today but if anyone has a thread, Id love to know what to do other than use a diffrent version of Live.

Thanks

have you guys tried disbaling the multicore/multiprocessor support in Live's preferences. Reason isn't optimised to work with multiple processors (still?!) and can cause glitches when rewired to Live.

Melodyne Rewire Plugin is the culprit

After taking out the melodyn rewire driver, I was able to use rewire with reason with no issue.

If the melodyne rewire plugin driver is installed, then disabling dual cpu access also resolves the problem.

cant have your cake and eat it too apparently, or at least until 6.0.11 or 7 -

I'm glad I finally found this thread, removing the melodyne rewire plugin is the culprit indeed!
