Looks like they use FOUR Moog Voyagers and 2 Behringer BCR's.

Interesting

I'm actually kinda surprised they use real synths in their Live set. I thought they were using all software.

um, so what do you suppose is triggering the Moogs? must be some computers backstage somewhere.

Well I'm pretty sure they use laptops running Ableton Live. They just haven't arrived with them yet in the pic.

Yeah, they have 4 laptops up there, all synced together, triggering all that stuff with MIDI and playing samples. That show was incredible. I'm going again in July. :D

I'm amazed that someone at that level uses Behringer equipment! I'm sure they've got backups, though.

Don't get me wrong... I love my BCR. I just don't feel I can rely on it like I can my Yamaha mixer.

I'm more amazed that they use four Voyagers. I wonder why they didn't get 4 different synths? ...you know for more versatility in sound.

Is the Voyager just that awesome?

just goes to show you there are really limited choices as far as midi controllers go...
all that gear can be easily replaced if there are any problems...

Would be funny if they were just routing audio through the voyagers for the filters :).

I've never seen them live but have watched and listened to the liveset on YouTube. There's just a handful of songs where there's an added and tweaked synth line (you know, obviously not just looped from the original Daft Punk song). I'm really surprised it is coming from the Voyager... it sounded more like an FM synth to me.

Next thing you know the BCR shoots to $599 because of this pics

My guess is they have two of everything (each) for backup, lots of famous bands that rely on computers do this. One system goes down and they can switch to the other instantly and keep going.

Every review I've read with Daft Punk about that concert... they didn't mention anything about synths in their set-up. They just said "we had a bunch of MIDI controllers with back-lights so we could see the knobs"

So I wonder if they were maybe just using the voyagers as sturdy midi controllers?
