Bug? song opening error FRUSTRATING!

One minute the song worked and sounded great! The next minute it doesn't and it crashes the app to boot! Here's the sequence of error messages and actions. Anyone know what's the deal?

1. Failed to load the ME Compressor.

2. Needs to find 2 samples. Search menu works fine, and samples are loaded.

3. Live Message:
"A serious program error has occurred. You should try to save your work under a new name using the save as command from the file menu and restart the application."

This is an endless loop: press ok, screen flashes, same message, forever!
I if try to terminate the application, I get the following runtime error message:

4. "Runtime Error!

Program: c:\Program Files\Ableton\Live 3.0.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."

re-booted. Re-installed re-everything, same results.
I put the mouse over the arrangement view icon and rapidly alternated between the pressing enter to clear the message in #3 above and clicking to change views (the song I am trying to load was built in arrange view).

new message!
5. Live
"Failed to access the undo history file. Switching to memory based undo. Live will not be able to recover Sets after crashes anymore. Please consult www.ableton.com/support if this problem persists after rebooting."

Hi Tallisman,

at first you should try if that happens too with the latest Live 3 version which is Live 3.0.1 available since last weekend from our website ( www.ableton.com/downloads ).

In any case you should please send send me the logfile ("Log.txt") for each Live version.
The logfile is located under:

- "C:\Program Files\Ableton\Live 3.0.1\Preferences\" (Live 3.0)
- "C:\Program Files\Ableton\Live 3.0\Preferences\" (Live 3.0.1)

regards,
Alex

It crashes for me too... =/ And if I point it to 2 random loops, then XP shows the following message before closing the app:

AppName: live 3.0.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.1 ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.1217 Offset: 0000b2ab

Good luck!

Oops - that was version 3.0, not version 3.0.1 :?

3.0.1 just gives me the error message about the missing VST/.wav files, but opens the application as it should.
