audio buffer & vst fx probs in live 2

Post by cockqueenkingcunt » Sun Nov 23, 2003 11:17 am

Hello - I'm currently having problems with audio buffer settings - I'm using Live 2 on a new G4 powerbook with a VX pocket V2 (2in/out) - I experience nasty clicks and gaps in the audio - this is using fairly long AIFFs slowed right down with the warp repitch settings - I've tried adjusting the buffer to all possible settings in the prefs and also the buffer size in the vx pocket - but whichever settings I use it still comes up with these errors - they're not too bad with no FX but once I use any reverbs (especially bad with vst revs like lexicon psp84x which just creates huge gaps and clicks - but even with live's own rev it still has big probs) the problems are huge -
this is completely baffling to me as the G4 has a 1Ghz processor and 1Gb of ram - this is all in OSX by the way -
- I'm using live in the demo mode but it says that only the bounce to disk feature is affected - I just want to make sure it all will work ok with my system before I fork out for a licenced Live 3 -
any help greatly appreciated - thanks!
