Display problem - disappearing pop-ups

Hi, just wondering if anyone else is having a problem like this with Live 6.0.3:

Open up the preferences box. Click the title bar of Live so the box is un-focused. Count to 3 and the box disappears.

I noticed that if I minimise Live then restore it, the box comes back, so I assume it just disappears behind the main window.

This also happens with VST plug-in windows, occasionally the 'frame' of the window will still be visible, but all the box is transparent.

Drop-down menus end up going weird too, disappearing as soon as you've selected them, but then the options appear as you mouse over them.

It's a right mess, basically!

My setup is:
Core2Duo E6600 on a MSI P965 Neo Motherboard
MSI MS StarForce Geforce 6600 (NVIDIA GeForce 6600) graphics card
Windows Media Center Edition 2005 (with all the latest service packs etc)
EMU 0404 PCI soundcard

I've tried about six different versions of the display drivers, including some really old ones and the newest beta ones but the problem still happens.

I'm at my wit's end!

Are you using 3-rd party mouse drivers [logitech etc]??

Yep. Microsoft Intellipoint. I'll give uninstalling them a go...

By God, it worked - I removed the Intellipoint drivers (version 6.1) and the problem has gone away... You're a genius, Herne!

Edit: Just installed the version 5.3 drivers that came with the mouse. Live is working fine. So the moral of the story is: don't use the latest drivers 8O

My God, I've been having this problem for weeks and couldnt get it sorted.

I just got rid of my 6.1. Intellipoint drivers, and fixed the problem!
Now I can finally go back to visually stable VST-ing.

This one should be communicated.
Several other people have mentioned this problem.

I guess an incompatible mouse driver is the last thing we expected
