OSX and Core Audio Problem

Post by UBO » Wed Nov 05, 2003 11:17 pm

I have an ibook, I have been running 2.1.1 on OS9 and have no big problems, other than playing more than 10 sample loops at once. I thought I might try it in OSX. But I can't get my Firewire MOTU 828 to show up in the Audio Preferences! I just get Core Audio. Any tips for this? What am I missing in OSX? Drivers? Do I need OMS in 10X?

UBO, perplexed!

828 and OSX

You don't need OMS with OSX but you have to configure your setup in Audio and Midi Setup (in Applications -> Utilities). Make sure you have the latest drivers (1.07 for Firewire drivers), install them and go to AMS to choose the 828 as your default input and output in core audio.
