Live v.1.1
------
It makes me wonder how a 733 G4 (133 Mhz bus) can be faster than a 600 Mhz G3 (100 Mhz bus).
I admit, that I always has the feeling that the cpu meter is not very accurate.
Anyway, I'll try tomorrow on my DP 1000.

Best

Make of computer: PC Athlon 1Ghz - 256MB RAM
Operating system: Windows 2000
CPU Speed: 1 Ghz (not overclocked-not audio optimized)
Soundcard: ST Audio DSP24MK2

Result for test 1: 9%
Result for test 2: 14-15%

Live Version : 1.0

(Might be intresting to look at harddisk performance as well cause in Live! that's where the bottleneck most likely will get as e'thing is streamed from disk)

It's strange that OS X using both cpus performas that bad.
Also it's strange that under OS 9 (using 1 cpu), the G4 perorms worse than a PIII with the same cpu speed. Usually G4's perform at least as well as PIII's (EXS24, ES2, Waves etc.)

PC 1
Make of computer: Home built P4 system (Asus P4B-266 mobo, 1GB DDR ram)
OS: Win XP Pro
CPU Speed: 1.6ghz (old 256k cache version)
Soundcard: Midiman Delta 66

I'm suprised by these numbers. I'd like to see what a comparable Athlon can produce. I'll probably upgrade the processor to 2.6ghz+ by end of the year. Can't wait to test its performance then.

PC 2:
Shuttle Online Spacewalker FV 24 mini PC 256mb ram
OS: Win XP Home
CPU Speed: P3 933mhz
Soundcard: Emagic EMI 2|6 (on a PCI usb card)

test1: 2%
test2: 19%

MAC 1:
Apple G4/500 Powerbook 1GB Ram
OS: 9.2.2
CPU Speed: 500mhz (duh!)
Soundcard: built in

test1: 9%
test2: 50%

used 1.5b3 for all tests
Glad I'm a PC person cuz the Mac performance just sucks.
