Crashes

It seems like I'm not the only one having problems with Live 3.0.
I am running a P3 1.8 with 1024 MB RAM on Windows 2000 Pro.
Is it Windows 2000 cause it seems to run fine on Windows XP.
Anyone that can help it'll be much appreciated cause I need this to perform live and it seems to hinder song creation having to close and then open the program time and time again.
Could it be the effects? Samples?
