Multiple simultaneous liveproject opened and playing in sync

I don't know if this would be fesable but i can't believe it would be hard to implement. Being able to do this would be great for a lot of thing. Two project could be open at the same time in one live instance or 2 project in their each instance of live. (in the second case, both live would need to interact like when using rewire) Actualy just having the options to rewire two live 6 togheter would be great but they both need to have vst capabilities!!!!!!!

Imagine yourself being able to load two live project at the same time, sync them togheter and afterwards mix them togheter live. This way you could do a
live set from all your project easily without interuptions.

Also, when composing it could be great to be able to use one ableton project
for composing and arranging and another as a DAW.

The DAW could be use to do submix of the composing instance of ableton.
So that you can afterwards use fx on those submix part.

This give you quite a lot of flexibility in the way you work because with the first ableton you compose with vsti and in the second you work more with audio loop.

Hope you will see the point of this wish :)

please reply if you really want this options.

Alex

I've been dreaming of what seems to me to be simply a GUI adjustment.... it's called "Dual Session Mode". You select it from a drop-down menu in Live, and it automatically opens a 2nd session and a floating '3rd' window with a basic crossfader. In the "Defaults" section of the Preferences you could choose whether the 'new' session comes in synced to the current tempo or 'un-synced' at it's own tempo.
Simple, and MASSIVELY useful, I would think for ANYONE who uses Live in a live setting. Being able to do an uninterrupted set of music from multiple sessions?? OH yeah....

I believe this would be nice too but being able to use the multiple arrange view
would also be important.

What about using folding session and arrangement.
This could be very usefull instead of having the folder track everyone want's to see in the next version. You could use a folding session where you would drag and drop your track. This folding session/arrangement would have master channel and fx to itself.

So ONE MAIN Session/arrangement folder would always be there. In this main folder, one main channel audio out of Sub session/arrangement folder would be added when adding a new sub Session/arrangement folder that would have personnal names like Drums folder or temp folder or another song completely.

You could move tracks between multiple sub folder or into the main session.

Hope you see how this setup would be great for everything. It would be like
another revolution added to ableton 6. Quite a nice marketing hit ;)

ANyway you will have to release folder track so why not instead adding
Sub Session/arrangement folder with their own everything. (own return tracks/own main channel fx etc.. that would be like running multiple instance of ableton live at the same time and in sync but routed in one main ableton live instance that would receive all main channel from sub session/arrangement folder.

Please consider this, if any ableton manager see this and want me to explain exactly in details how this could be done please send me an email i'll gladly explain in more details my view on how to make Ableton live more effective in all stage of music creation/mix/mastering

Dont forget to reply to vote for this change. Because they will never acknoledge it otherwise.

You could even make a new kind of clips in the MAIN SESSION/Arrangement folder. (Sequence Clips)

Those clip would be in the new channel created when adding a new sub session/arrangement folder. (Main channel output from the sub session/arrangement folder would be routed in the MAIN Session/arrangement folder as a track).

So those special clip when being edited would have some kind of a personnal little arrangement view. They would be a sequence of Start/Stop and enveloppe modulation acting in the SUB Session/Arrangement folder.

Really hope you understand what i mean here because this would be great for creation. It would be like having a sequencer in a sequencer.

Imagine cutting a loop from the arrangement view and being able to send it as a Sequence Clip on the master track. After you just have to adjust this clip and it will control a group of track.

Now imagine that you have in the main session view multiple track that are output from multiple sub session/arrangement folder. You would see in those track all the offered sequence clip of the sub session/arrangment view so that you could press play/stop like normal clip but ,base on the Sequence clip played, it would trigger certains clips in the sub session/arrangement folder track.

I Hope you see how this kind of recursivity in a software like ableton would create a new way to produce music.

please vote i REALLY WANT THIS hehehe

at least we need to open two sets at same time to play large sets.
but of course loading a set without interrupting the music thats playing.
kinda slow load up mode
