the images are stupid ,Image

but the general idea appeals to me.

I dream of a future where people say to me "man you are really muscular, are you a programmer?"

right now I have a mouse finger that can break stone blocks, it's just a matter of time before the rest of my feeble body is recruited to the cause.

and people wonder why dance music culture is dying and has lost it's appeal with the jaded cynical youth of today's USA.....

yo, man, in Europe that gay ass crap might fly, but that dude would get a beer tossed in his grille if he played anywhere around here......

BUT if that thing actually works without a shitload of bugs I'm gonna definitely have to grab it and try that out.....My girl would LOVE that shit...I'm about to order one right now....that looks seriously insanely FUN as hell!!!!!!!!!!

Post by frugalpole » Mon Jan 09, 2006 9:45 pm

i think the thing/idea is gay. it ls like the lovechild of early 90's nintendo controller and tron gone wrong.

not to mention his website is a total rip off of the ableton site.

it looks gay the way they are demonstrating it but give it to me let me light up a spliffy or eat a roll and I would have a blast......

not very useful for anything precise like they are doing with it....more like textures and ambiences......drones........or just controlling the freq on some synths....i sure as hell wouldn't be using it to mix mp3's....that shit is REAL GAY

since I like to dance it would be cool for a performance

Well he said it "looks like" fun. He didn't actually say it would actually be fun.

But I don't even think it looks fun. Unless you like the idea of watching Robocop perform music.

I think it's just another gimmick to make electronic music performance look interesting and busy while actually doing less. The resulting sound probably wouldn't be any more interesting than moving an X/Y midi controller.

It's like an air guitar that actually does something.

None of the videos will work.

Quicktime is the most usless video format in the world.

Yeah it does seem like a good idea at first, but...

I forsee Bjork, or maybe even the Residents, using this contraption very soon!

God I hate quicktime and Itunes with a passion

even on my old mac I couldn't get Quicktime to act right - like if I was listening to beats on juno.co.uk it would load part of the sample then just quit playing - that's it, nothing

now I'm trying to use Itunes on my PC and that's a no go - to bad I bought this stupid IPOD that's formatted for My OLD, LONG GONE MAC so I'm stuck with the tunes I have

I tried one of those programs that opens up the Ipod on a PC and it was cool - I just have to buy the software - but still Itunes sounds all garbbled and statitky on my PC

Maybe I should sell me Ipod and buy an Iriver - my Ipod has some jams on it and some nice mix's on it - ahhhhhh

but the original thread - who knows, what ever - I hope the guy the best
