Please add a dither option with different noise shaping algorithms and auto-bla(n)cking (don't add dither-noise at silence-parts) to the render-dialog or as additional audio-effect!

Thanks!

i'm pretty happy with the dithering in Spark XL, as well as Wave Arts Final Plug.
so i can live without this.

of course - buying additional plugins or sample-editors is a solution. but why not include a proper dither?

no doubt it would make a great addition.
but i voted no simply because i already own such a tool.

and if on the chopping block of new features we have a dithering plug-in vs. say for instance a more powerful Impulse drum machine, or a more cpu effecient Ableton Reverb... i'd rather see the expansion of capabilities on already existing Ableton Live devices instead.

and a dither is a pretty basic feature/function. Not really something that Ableton could get creative with. I already own a ditherer and i dont need another one (of course this is just me, personally). I also already owned an FM synth, but what they did with Operator impressed me so much that i bought it anyway.

Plus you need a program to burn a proper CD anyway and usually dithering is done within that program. This is more mastering stuff in my mind.

There are other things that could be added that are much more important than this. Things that have to do with creating the music itself and I think that's what should be the main focus.

Utility/Redux are both incredibly useful but not exactly creative... you can be creative with them though if you want.

'Redux' doesn't dither. And 'Utility' doesn't have something to to with this topic at all!

I know redux doesn't dither, I was just replying to Adamjay saying "and a dither is a pretty basic feature/function. Not really something that Ableton could get creative with."... I just forgot the quote.

I just don't see how something being creative or not should inherently determine if ableton should implement such a tool.
