Can someone confirm this:

4 Audiotracks with Reasonoutputs 1/2, 3/4 and so on...
1 Miditrack that triggers the p.e. Bassdrum, Open Hihat, Closed Hihat and Claps from the Redrummachine...

1 Miditrack with p.e. Operator playing a bassfigure...

Everything is fine...but if I insert a plugin which has it`s own latency (p.e. Voxengo´s Elephant 2) p.e. on the Mastertrack, the Rewiretracks themselves are in sync but not with the Operator... I have to give the Reason Miditrack a delay of -30ms to get them back in sync to the Operator...

If I insert this plugin on the Operatortrack, I have to give the Operator a delay of about 15ms to get him back in sync to the rewiretracks...

And yes, the Delaycompensation is activated...if I deactivate it, all tracks went out of sync... and yes, all of the tracks are routed to the mastertrack...

I`ve tested a little bit...

It doesn`t matter, if plugins have it own latencies...

If delaycompensation is activated, VST/i`s and Rewire are not in sync...

Rewire and Abe Plugins are in sync until you insert an any Vstplugin ...

the delay compensation ensures that audio and midi outputs are in sync. So if audio is delayed by a VST / AU plugin in any track*, the midi will be delayed, too. This is correct when sending midi to external devices. In the ReWire case it results in delayed audio from the ReWire slave, as you observed.

In a future release ReWire and 'normal' midi outputs will be handled differently. Until then please use the midi track's track delay as you described.

*) a plugin always introduces the plugin buffer size as a delay, plus any own latency.
