Hey Abes. What about this?

maybe you could add a groove extraction feature that would allow the user to analyze a midi or audio file, and then determine the groove of a clip? Then, you could take a straight warped clip and apply the groove template to it!

wow!

Could groove be created by using warp marker/start point envelopes. Like you have the clip of so and so's drumming in session, you have the clip you want to groove underneath, zoom both nice and big and mess with the warp markers of the straight clip until the hits line up. I know that not instant and you couldn't scroll through a lot of options sequentially, if its a dumb idea kick my ass. :) :( :x

It would work, but it would also be a lot of work, WAY more work than Cubase requires.

And you couldn't do it Live...

Bump.

We need more midi quantization options, but most importantly GROOVE TEMPLATE CAPTURE AND GROOVE QUANTIZATION!

OK - I know Live 6 is coming up and the feature list is already set, but just in case it was forgotten...
