Fax..Its 1Meg cache. The figure frequently dips below 20% so the average is more like 18%.

I don't want a flame war but I've found Alienware to really do the biz, also Red Submarine are also exellent.

Thanx Coldmachine.
My Toshiba is strange though the more you pack on the more efficiently it seems to handle the load .
I can go up to 95% CPU useage @ 24/48 for example with out a single glitch and this new piece I'm working on 11 VSti tracks + 10 audio tracks with some 17 vst effects in total and I'm on between 44-51% depending on how dense the mix is.
So I'm pretty happy with my real world useage figures.
I couldn't afford a new lappy anyway but I noticed you had a fast CPU and Much faster ram .
I was curious on the Cache spec so thanks.

I didn't run the test, but I suspect that it will be exactly the same as AJ's since we'ne got the same type of powerbook. :)

Also, I know that AJ won't be reading this, but it'd be nice to include a poll in these threads (ie, 90-100%, 80-90%, etc) so the graph doesn't have to be manually generated all the time..

Why do you think you can speak for everybody?...
i was speaking for myself. the "we" in that sentence was inclusive of Computer Dude since i was referring to what he said, and anyone else who might happen to feel the same way.

gee, that was important.
