Automatically change clip color - when altering clip

Post by Poster » Mon Aug 01, 2005 9:02 pm

Let's say you've copied a drum clip to the arrange and duplicated it 10 times.
Now you want to edit the 4th clip to make a break or something.
It would be very usefull if that clip changed color automatically when you edit it's content so you know it's different from the others..

very simple, very usefull..

That would be handy. Also if it clips at least got a dummy name to start with and a .1 .2 .3 etc. automagicaly on eidt/color change.

hhhmm.. suddenly noticed a flaw in this.. what if it changes to a color that's already taken on that track?.. skip that color?

Please Dont say automatically, maybe a Option in preferances if you want this (That seems fair),But I hate this in sonar Everytime i Copy or do some sort of Bounce,It is ever so tediouse having to go back over large sections of copied data, when it is just so much easy to maybe colour any questionable data yourself with a simple mouse Click or 2, better to have to do this a few times/Or at the time, than Contantly Change colours back again Especilly if you are doing a lot of editing and arranging.
So not to Stop Your Progressional ideas/Wants, guys,But please ableton Dont Make The rest of our lifes harder,Thanks.
