Hi folks,

We just released the new bug fix update Live 4.1.4.

Just go to the download section of our website www.ableton.com/downloads

We are sorry for the inconvenience concerning the broken ReWire slave behavior of Live 4.1.3.

Kind Regards,
Alex

>>>>>Big thanks to all participants of our small beta circle!
Hallo Alex

finally the keyboard-strokes-not-working fix! thanks a million. makes z3ta+ useable again :D

Appears that the problem with the z3ta+ still exists for me when I open a set after using one with z3ta+.

Does that make sense?

crashing when rewired to logic pro 7.1

Every song I open that was made with live 4.1.2 is crashing when being opened as a rewired slave to logic 7.1 in the new 4.1.3 update. I am also running rewire version 2.2.5.

Me too!!!
Arrrghhh... this is getting soooo old.
Ableton really needs to address ReWire stability sometime this century.
Forget bells & whistles and return to its roots as a solid loop/sample player.

Opening a medium-large Live doc crashes Live since ver4.0...
A REAL DRAG since you then have to:
restart Logic,
load its huge doc,
start Live,
load the large Live doc,
THEN CRASH!!!
Start over with reduced Live doc...
cross fingers,
1/2 hour later wonder what you were planning to do in the first place.
I hate ReWire now...

SORRY sorry sorry for rant...
but I've wasted sooo much time with all this.
(& yes, I have sent numerous crash logs to Abelton...)
FWIW, I'm back to using Live ver4.12
since this ver crashes EVERY time I try to open a doc in ReWire mode.

According to EW on KVRAUDIO 4.1.3 Crashes with Reaktor 5 when loading as a VST also - apparently this is not the case with 4.1.2 .
I'm about to layby Reaktor 5 in 3 to 4 weeks time so hopefully this will be ironed out by the time I pay it off (crosses fingers) .......

Sounds like the problem might be Logic.

Yes it does... the shell loads up fine but loading any ensemble will immediately crash Live. I've written Ableton support and submitted a bugreport to NI about it.
Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

I'm not experiencing the Live/R5 problem on my PC. Carbon 2 loads and plays fine.

Is there anything else I should check?

4.1.3 not happy on Nuendo 2 either!!!!!!

I don't think this problem is Logic specific. My Nuendo 2 host doesn't even let 4.1.3 open now. 4.1.2 opens fine, but NOT 4.1.3.

I couldn't say. I've tried loading EXT and Chainer and then loading R5 into them (which works fine normally)- same result. As soon as I load an ensemble, Live goes south. I wasn't seeing this in either 4.11 or 4.12...

reaktor 5 seems to work better in 4.1.3 and 4.1.2 in general, actually I have not had a reaktor related crash with version5 (mainly use, carbon 2, junatik, l3, few smaller synths I made myself, nothing major). I can also load new live sessions via rewire fine with 4.1.3, it's all the old sessions that crash it (which load fine when it's not in rewire mode).
