in the UserConfiguration.txt it says :
# If your controller is connected via USB, replace ControllerName
# with the name of the respective port
can someone tell me what does that mean ?
do you put 'USB' or USB(2)? where do you get the name of your USB port ???

I generally leave it as is. I think you can type in the name of the controller... But you have to get it right.

You're not looking for the name of the USB port, but the name of the MIDI port as you find it in the bottom section of Live's MIDI/Sync Preferences.

Most USB connected MIDI have their names coded into the driver. Less luck if you're connecting MIDI cables to a MIDI interface or have a class compliant device that doesn't come with manufacturer's drivers.

you mean you leave
input: ControlerName
as it is without specifying the name of the controler nor the port?

and where do you put that file? I've tried different folders without luck.
thanks!

ah OK, the midi port. So if it's listed as 'péripherique audio USB (2)' (excuse my French ;) ) I type that for the controlerName in the config.txt, right ?

Indeed the UC-33e is recognized by its name in some programs but not in Live.
thanks for the help !

Waow, thanks for your help, the config.txt file is in 'resources' but I should have looked in C:/user (as pointed out by yur2die4 in my other thread) and create a directory from there.
Also the fact that MIDI channels go from 0 to 15, whereas my UC33 goes from 1 to 16 had me considering channel 1 as 1 instead of 2.

so complicated for such simple things (ie. reward and FF through midi)
