I've found this nice site where you can find loads of chords and scale's to add to live 4.

Just thought i'd mention that once you start getting into the exotic scales, they are alll missing a visual representation of one not....yes we can all figure out what the last one is...but i thought i'd split a hair

you gotta admit that adding more chords goes fast and easy. just add up the half steps to the chord plugin.

But i dont get what you mean with the scale's. every note is visually represented as far as i can see.
Underneath the keyboard is al the info including the half-steps. wich seem to be the same as the keyboard.

So what are you saying? that these scale's arent correct?

I'm suposing you're using Live 5.

First locate your library.
You can see (or choose) the location for your library in Live's preferences. In the misc. tab.

Now locate that library with the finder/explorer and in it you will find a folder called "presets".
You will find the folders "chord" and "scale" there. Drop the presets in those folders.

Thanks for the very fast reply, but I can only download midi files from that site. Do you mean I can just drop those in the Presets/Scale folder?

Sorry to confuse you there mate. I had this thread mixed up with another similar thread where i posted these files

The package in the link above contains chord and scale presets you can install.

how would i translate those chords from that first site into the chord midi thing in ableton?

It's pretty easy actually. Just count.
On the bottom you'll notice "half-steps".
For Cmajor it says "4-3"

This means to shift a knob on the chord plugin +4. And then add +3 to that.

So a major chord is +4 and +7 together on a pitch plugin.

I hope this makes sense.
I'm no expert when it comes to musical theory.
But it's figuring stuff like this out that actually helps me.
