Almost all great soundtracks are NON-electronic, no?

except Blade Runner, i can't think of a single great electronic original soundtrack...
Maybe The Bourne Identity's eurotrash tunes? ;)

+1 for Les 400 coups. Watched it recently and had to stop numerous times to collect samples.

Live orchestra recordings are my fave soundtrack stuff. A big rockin band all in one room. Real as real can be.

"West Side Story" 1961

It does not get better than this. The music, dynamics and arrangement are frickin stunning. The Orchestra is on fire. Pure genius.
