the macbook performs as good as a dual G5 2.5ghz

BINGO!!!!kenn michael wrote:both with AC and battery.
I can confirm that when nothing else is running, I'm getting the higher numbers - 40-42%, but if I start ripping a CD in iTunes, the numbers drop to 29-30%.
This is what I did. I just sold my dual-core 2.3 G5 and my old powerboook G4. Now I have both worlds consolidated perfectly in both performance and portability. I'm connecting my MacBook pro to a 30" cinema display which also acts as a dock for an external keyboard, mouse, and my MOTU Traveler. I just plug it and its not much different that with my G5 (except the MBP runs alot quieter in my studio). I can also close the lid for large single desktop, or keep it open an use both displays. Its a really ideal setup.FORMAT wrote:And are you going to connect the Cinema Display to the MacBook? Possibly with an external keyboard?AdamJay wrote:
