Can you upgrade From Ableton Live 7 to Ableton Live Suite?

Post by jmonster » Fri Jan 04, 2008 1:51 am

this should be a self-evident question, but...

i bought Ableton 6 (full) in late october 2006 and it came with a free upgrade to Ableton Live 7. I have registered both my Live 6 serial # and my Live 7 upgrade serial # and the website informs me that there are no upgrades available for me. This is untrue. I should be able to upgrade to Ableton Live Suite.

After writing emails with no responses for the last 4 weeks, i thought i might try to find out if anyone else has been able to upgrade to Live Suite from Live 7.

This has been a completely frustrating experience chalk full of crappy or non-existent customer service and, quite frankly, i would have thought twice about purchasing Live if i knew it would have been like this.

Does anyone now when the Germans might return from holiday or when they might fix their broken website?

Has anyone been able to upgrade from Live 7 to Live Suite?

<--------same boat as you
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

make that 4 on the boat.

i've emailed them 3 times without response - they can't be that busy?

i've started the think (realise?) that i don't really need suite at all, and the money could be better spent on beer or sam and max games or something like that....

the second of those links pretty much answers the question - they're trying to deal with the backlog. so they're not actually ignoring us :-)

Solution at hand

if you call (00) 49 30 288 763-231, you can talk to a customer rep who will be able to place your order for the upgrade.

I called, and they took my order and they said i should get my upgrade serial in about an hour. We will have to wait and see if that happens, but either way it was better than sending emails with no reply.

they did acknowledge that the webshop is currently unable to make the upgrade, so the only way to get it done now is to call berlin.

BTW it is $279 to upgrade to the suite without the EIC2 and the SessionDrums and $390 with.
