A musical director and a drummer involved in 150 concerts a year around the globe, Jonas designs technical solutions for live acts, creates audiovisual art installations and runs a co-working space for musicians in Oslo, Norway.

He has been working in music his whole life. As a drummer he started out at the age of six and has completed a master’s degree in improvised music. As a musical director he started out in his late 20s and is working mostly in popular music.

Jonas is musical director for Alan Walker and does similar work for Matoma. He plays drums with Norwegian indie and pop artists such as Ary, Fay Wildhagen and Sandra Kolstad.

He offers courses in all aspects of the usage of Live, Push and Max for Live and is internationally available as a fly-in consultant for professional acts that need to rework their live setups.

As a trainer, Jonas offers workshops on demand, usually over a couple of days. He has done many of these over the last years and has held a yearly course at the Norwegian Academy of Music. A live user since 2005, Jonas runs the official Ableton user group in Oslo where anyone can come for free to be inspired and introduced to other people interested in music technology.

Jonas is mainly available for professional and advanced users of Live and Max for Live where edge cases might present challenges where google doesn’t suffice. He is also more than happy to chat with beginners regarding the vast forrest of possibilities and products and what paths one might take early in the journey from idea to stage.
