  1. Open the dmg/zip and install Live.
  2. Open Live and follow the instructions to authorize your free trial.

Please note

You must be connected to the internet each time you use the trial version of Live. After purchasing Live, an internet connection is not necessary.

In version 8.1.3, Live introduced a new file format. Documents saved with version 8.1.3 or newer cannot be opened in versions of Live older than 8.1.3.
