BerkleemusicBerkleemusic is the online Extension School of Berklee College of Music, the world's premier institution for the study of contemporary music. For more than fifty years, the College has been students gaining the practical professional skills they need to build successful, sustainable music careers. While Berkee's bedrock philosophy has never changed, the music and the industry certainly have. This extension into online learning is just one example of how Berklee Colllege of Music is changing with them. In the instructor-led online course "Producing Music with Ableton Live," students examine the musical uses of Ableton Live 7, from expressive sound design using audio and MIDI clip manipulation to innovative signal processing with Live's unique built-in effects. The twelve-week course includes a series of topics focusing on specific programming techniques and also examines creative methods for arranging and producing entire song productions. "I show musical approaches you wouldn't necessarily find on your own," says Berklee Professor Kai Turnbull.
