Mathieu Valton (Perth, WA)

Mathieu Valton (aka Hykus) is a producer, engineer, lecturer and live performer based in Perth, Western Australia. He has been producing for more than a decade, and is an endorsed Australian Akai Professional artist. His productions include Hip Hop, Trip Hop, Breaks, Dubstep and more. In addition, Mathieu has worked for the Australian Broadcast Corporation, recording the West Australian Symphony Orchestra and local Perth bands, as well as operating Dubstep record label "Infamous Recordingz" and his mastering studio: AMR (Audio, Mastering & Restoration).

Mathieu holds Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and is now the senior lecturer for the Electronic Music Production course at the SAE Institute in Perth. He also teaches similar units for the Diploma and Degree courses. EMP classes typically have fifteen students per class, ranging from beginners to intermediate users, and the course covers in-depth technical and creative components such as: sampling, editing, synthesis, sound design, special FX and more.

Mathieu also offers one-on-one and group classes in production, mixing and DJing. Master-classes and product demonstrations are also available.
