Ableton Live 8 and Suite 8 master class with Dave Hill Jr. at Robotspeak, San Francisco

Ableton Live 8 and Suite 8 have been released, and the new feature list is long. On Thursday, May 7th, Dave Hill Jr., Managerial Director of Ableton Inc., will visit Robotspeak to help decode the new features and share some power tips. Dave has worked for Ableton since 2003, and he wrote the book Ableton Live 2 Power before joining Ableton. His background as both an acoustic drummer/percussionist and electronic musician gives him a musician-friendly take on composing and performing with Ableton Live. Please feel free to bring your laptop and have Dave answer any questions you may have. In this presentation, Dave will demonstrate Live 8's new elastic audio and warp marker enhancements, the Live 8 groove pool, several new Ableton devices, and Ableton Suite 8's new instruments. He will offer tips on beat making with Ableton Live's drum racks and introduce Ableton's new online collaboration feature. There will also be a prototype of the highly anticipated Akai Professional APC40 on hand to take a look at. Anyone buying Live 8 at the event will get a free Ableton DJ bag!
