Live uses a challenge/response copy protection and authorization process unique to each computer.Please see our authorize/unlock instructions here for more details.

Each computer requires its own unique authorization/unlock. You have to authorize/unlock Live again on your new computer.

The following procedure can only be performed by your computer's administrator.

Live 8:no Challenge Code is required.Live 7 and earlier:the Challenge Code is presented in the Live Unlock dialog window after installation.

If you do not change your computer's components or reformat your hard drive, you should not need to authorize/unlock Live again.

After an OSX software update, Live doesn't start correctly anymore.

The Kit 808 Drum Rack preset can be played, the Macros can be tweaked, but the single pads/chains can not be accessed for editing. Other Drum Rack presets are editable without problems.

You must first register your serial number properly on our registration page.

Your Live license allows you to install and authorize/unlock Live on two computers, with the understanding that you will only use it on one at a time.

Live shows presets in the Library that belong to instruments that aren't purchased/unlocked.
